I serve as Collegewide Chair for Integratives Studies and as director for the Paul Peck Humanities Institute at Montgomery College. I am committed to supporting creative, interdisciplinary learning environments for students and for faculty. I manage the MC-Smithsonian Faculty Fellowship Program and we are just celebrating the completion of a year-long pilot Fellowship with the Library of Congress that served faculty as well as librarians. Last summer I had the pleasure of participating in the DH@theCC program in Eugene, Oregon run by Anne McGrail and others.

I earned a B.S. in plant and soil science from University of Massachusetts, an M.S. in human nutrition from Michigan State University and and very recently completed an M.P.H., in environmental health science at the University of Maryland, College Park.
